Why FIRST® LEGO® League?
FIRST® LEGO® League is one of the world's largest technology and science competitions for children and young people.
In 2025, the competition celebrated its 25th anniversary, a milestone well worth celebrating. We’ve been proud to be part of the journey from the very beginning, and we remain committed to supporting FIRST® LEGO® League because we believe in its mission and the opportunities it creates for young people.
The competition reflects much of what we do at Equinor every day. Across the company, around 25,000 employees work to find better solutions, combining technology, creativity and collaboration to tackle complex challenges. Whether developing new digital tools, using robotics or applying innovative thinking, curiosity is at the heart of what we do. That is why we are proud to support FIRST® LEGO® League.
We also believe that society and industry will continue to need the qualities that FIRST® LEGO® League helps cultivate: curiosity, creativity, teamwork and an interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
Every year, tens of thousands of teams from more than 100 countries take part in the competition, working together to solve challenges linked to science and technology. Through robotics, programming and problem-solving, participants develop innovative solutions while building skills that will serve them well in the future.
